CFPro has announced the appointment of Valerie Dring ACIB MBE as the new director of business development, where she will lead the firm’s Cambridge-based clients and establish a hub for high-growth companies.
Dring has previously held senior roles at accountancy firm Price Bailey LLP, non-profit Form the Future CIC, and SME advisory firm Commercial Sense. She is also an active member of the Cambridge business community where she has served on the Smart and Spur Steering Committee, the Cambridge Enterprise and Technology Club Committee, and the Cambridge Enterprise Agency Board.
Barbara Spurrier, CEO and founder, said: “Valerie’s skill set, network and knowledge of the Cambridge business ecosystem is second-to-none. She is the ideal person to head up our new hub in the city, and we believe she will bring an enormous amount of value to the many innovative, exciting new companies that are emerging from the region.
“Valerie will be supported in Cambridge by Gary Hanson, retired BDO Partner who joined CFPro as a Non Executive Director, and was instrumental in opening and developing the BDO office in Cambridge, which grew from 8 to over 35 staff.”
Dring added: “Right from the start I could tell that CFPro would be a good fit for me; the team’s knowledge, experience and special place in the market made for an incredibly compelling proposition for this next stage of my career and I’m so glad to be on board.”
