An exciting new role has been created to drive digital transformation in businesses in the Lincoln City area.  Working alongside academics, industry specialists and business leaders you will lead a programme to develop and trial new digital technologies, upskill the workforce and bring added value to business practices.

This opportunity has arisen following a successful Lincoln Towns Deal funding contract which has been secured to deliver a three-year Lincoln Made Smarter scheme led by the University of Lincoln.  The post will be suited to candidates who can demonstrate they can drive business growth within small to medium sized companies (SMEs) and have an understanding of the transformational impact new digital technologies/opportunities can have on businesses to make them more productive and sustainable.

The postholder will be responsible for the overall delivery of this new project which will sit within our Research & Enterprise Department. Responsibilities will include line management of another new post, specifically created through this project for a Digital Project Co-ordinator, as well as working closely with other staff within the department and academic staff across the University to draw in a wide range of skills/expertise to ensure successful delivery of the project.

The successful candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal and project management skills which will drive growth and innovation in SMEs; have an in-depth knowledge of business management principles and demonstrate the ability to design & deliver a range of focused support to Lincoln City SMEs to help accelerate the development and diffusion of digital technologies within their company.
