About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager who will play a pivotal role in the growth of the company through new client acquisitions and identification of incremental revenue opportunities.
Working closely with senior management to shape, develop and implement our B2B strategy, the successful candidate will help grow the business and improve both the customer and client experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Proactively identify and target new business opportunities
– Respond to incoming business leads, formal ITTs and RFIs
– Contribute to commercial discussions and create final contracts in conjunction with Managing Director
– Create internal business cases for Board approval in conjunction with Business Finance Manager
– Maintain, and report against, the sales pipeline through Salesforce
– Become knowledgeable about EVENTIM’s portfolio of ticketing technologies to a high level
– Work in conjunction with the Country Product Managers to prepare product demonstrations
– Generate promotional and marketing collateral for sales pitches and client presentations
– Foster relationships between clients and the business
– Maintain the EVENTIM B2B website (eventimb2b.co.uk) ensuring all information is up to date; to include blog posts, product features, global and local news
– Attend conferences, networking events and other off-site events as a brand ambassador for EVENTIM
Skills and experiences:
Essential:
– Highly attuned to what’s going on in the UK marketplace; to include: ticketing technology (B2B), retail and distribution networks (B2C) and ticketing ‘principles’ cross-genre (music, theatre, consumer exhibitions, cultural institutions or visitor attractions)
– Proven experience in a similar role; to include responding to Request(s) for information (“RFI”) and Request(s) for Proposal (“RFP”)
– The creation of client specific sales related pitches and presentations
– Commercial sensibility and business acumen, and an understanding of client commercial deals
– Strong negotiations skill
– Strong organisational and troubleshooting skills; with the ability to prioritise time sensitive tasks
– Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
– Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present information to a wide range of audiences
Desirable:
– Experience of using WordPress & Typo3 website software
– Knowledge of, and hands-on experience in, Salesforce
