To the moon: A lunar lander built by a Pa. company has passed critical tests, moving closer to touching down on the moon early next year.

Different roles: Sen.-elect John Fetterman and his wife, Gisele, will make cameo appearances in a film starring Christian Bale to be released on Nexflix.

Concerts coming: Three shows for next year at Hershey venues were announced yesterday: Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top at Hersheypark; Third Eye Blind at Hershey Theatre; and Zac Brown Band at Hersheypark Stadium.

House drama: Republican Bryan Cutler took the oath of office yesterday, asserting his claim to the title of majority leader in the 203-member House of Representatives. However, House Democratic Leader Joanna McClinton says she holds the title as the chamber’s majority leader and the authority that goes with it. Three seats are vacant.

Senate seat: Candidates to fill the open Senate seat representing a five-county northeastern Pa. district have been chosen.

Blue-white plans: Penn State football’s 2023 Blue-White Game has a date: April 15 at Beaver Stadium. No other details — kick time, TV, etc. — were provided.

Playoff picture: Week 14 in the NFL began with three teams having opportunities to clinch playoff spots: the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs. Only the Eagles did it.
