About Us
Wahkohtowin Development GP Inc. is a 100% owned First Nation business corporation effectively functioning as a social enterprise to the benefit of FN communities in Northern Ontario. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Manager (PM) to undertake project leadership on the “One Bowl – Tree to Home” project, an initiative using an innovative social enterprise business model designed to address the FN housing crisis and challenge in the North. Position Summary
Working as part of a multidimensional team the PM will work with the Senior Project Manager and General Manager to lead and execute on the development of the “One Bowl Housing Corporation” and the Tree to Home project. This is a one year contract with the opportunity to renew or extend premised on the project’s overall success during the next 12 to 18 months.

Key Responsibilities
 Collaborate with project team to manage One Bowl Tree to Home project timeline, budget, and other requirements.
 Provide project management and planning knowledge to the team to drive to the project’s success.
 Lead the development and promotion of sales, supported by a marketing and sales intern.
 Prepare, and coordinate applicable documents including sales contracts, business agreements LP, seek permit acquisitions and obtain necessary drawing approvals.
 Co-develop and execute on project plan, including training for installation crew capacity.
 Monitor construction sites and installation crews to manage schedule and costing.
 Manage sub-contractors to confirm work plan and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
 Review and approve invoices in accordance with budget and organizational procedures
 Provide direction and assistance to staff.
 Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated Safety policies and procedures.
 Identify additional project based human resource needs as required.
 Ensure that project deliverables and reporting requirements are completed on time.
 Any additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, from time to time.

Education and Experience
 A degree in a business discipline or equivalent experience, Civil Engineering (CET) and/or Planning or equivalent experience
 Project Management Professional Certification or in progress – (PMP)
 Knowledge of proposals, account planning, strategic analysis, and operational effectiveness.
 Knowledge of applicable construction industry best practice and Ontario legislated building codes.
 Knowledge of concrete pad installation and screw pile installation in northern climates and familiarity with northern housing building challenges.
 Excellent organizational, prioritization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
 Ability to work under pressure, deal with multiple deadlines.
 High degree of professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with customers.
 Excellent knowledge of Technology and relevant Software applications.
 Ability to work a flexible schedule when required to meet deadlines.
 Proven proposal writing and management skills.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills well suited to building relationships with existing and new funding partners.
 Ability to collaborate with diverse groups of people.
 Ability to build, support and motivate project teams as required.
 The ability to develop long term, trusting relationships with potential funding partners and stakeholders.
 Participate in assuring control of financial, risk and compliance processes with good accounting practice.
 Uphold and support a team environment that will be focused on a results and performance-oriented culture.
 Participate in a work environment consistent with First Nation principles and corporate policies and procedures.

Working Conditions
 Typical working hours: Monday to Friday – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
 Additional hours may be required – especially where travel is required to meet owners, customers, project team and partners.
 Requires a moderate amount of sitting for prolonged periods of time while using the computer. Moderate number of non-standard hours of work are required.
