Richard Breckenridge, a retired U.S. Navy vice admiral who transitioned to the industry following his military career, has assumed a new role at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) as vice president at its aeronautics systems business.
In a LinkedIn post, Breckenridge said he is assuming the position of VP of strategy and business development at Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems.
The executive has been with Northrop since late 2017. He worked as VP of Navy/U.S. Marine Corps programs for more than four years before starting his new role.
As for his stay with the Navy, Breckenridge’s last assignment is helping lead the Fleet Forces Command as its deputy commander.
His military career also includes time as chief of staff, Force Structure, Resources and Assessment Directorate on the Joint Chiefs of Staff; deputy director, Submarine Warfare Division; and director, Warfare Integration on the staff of the chief of naval operations.
